OR perhaps I got a bad batch of Rowa? I understand its wet by nature but should it clump up at the very start? Either I turn the pump up too high and it slowly lifts up and out or I have it low and a lot just clumps up at the bottom.

Take small amounts every time and change rather often. What do you use in order to measure the PO 4 ?. 3 ppm in the drinking water - where do you live?
